MONTHLY QUOTE:

My moods are my responsibility.

(Remember that the ONLY way to change an emotion is to redirect your thinking. Emotion ALWAYS follows cognition.)

The shortcomings of obedience appear when teachers and parents are not around to use these EXTERNAL motivators.

The “Raise Responsibility System” focuses on internal motivation, which builds the vision

The pleasure is inherent in the responsible act. —Evelyn Marshall

The RAISE RESPONSIBILITY SYSTEM is explained in Phase III of both the “Discipline Without Stress Teaching Model” and the “Parenting Without Stress Model.” The explanation of the system has been edited to make it easier to understand and implement.

I was asked if the approach employed to build quality into Japanese products is different from what NCLB (No Child Left Behind in the USA) is trying to accomplish by all of its testing.

My response follows:

The Japanese approach is to build quality INTO the process. In contrast, NCLB uses tests to measure AFTER the process, which is an antiquated approach in manufacturing.
